Based in Nashville, Drew Hendrickson leads LBMC’s Cybersecurity & Compliance practice and chairs LBMC’s Advisory Leadership Committee, which includes Cybersecurity, Litigation & Valuation, Consulting & Business Intelligence and Transaction Advisory Services lines of business among others.
Drew joined LBMC in 2014 and draws on more than 20 years of experience as a cybersecurity and accounting professional to help clients manage their security program within the context of the business’s overall risk environment.
His background includes regulatory compliance in SOX, SOC 1 & SOC-2 reporting, GDPR, HITRUST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI, FISMA, financial audits, and other various privacy and security consulting services.
Over the course of his career, Hendrickson has issued thousands of SOC reports and worked closely with the AICPA to lead and educate other CPA firms on best practices and the latest updates to SOC reporting.
He has also assisted in the development and delivery of training materials for the AICPA’s cybersecurity courses (both a risk assessment course and a cybersecurity advisory course).
Before joining LBMC, Drew worked at a national public accounting firm for nine years. Drew left as a senior manager and served several external audits locally in Nashville in the healthcare, retail, utility, and manufacturing industries.
Drew specializes in the healthcare and software and technology industries.
Active in the community, Hendrickson serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee and supports the Tennessee Society of CPAs through its Student Outreach, Advancement, and Recruitment (SOAR) committee.
He also sits on the UNC-Wilmington Center for Cyber Defense Education Advisory Board and serves as a Mentor for UNCW’s cybersecurity program.
He was recognized as a Nashville Business Journal 40 under 40 and a 3x Nashville Emerging Leader Finalist.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, he holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in accounting.
Hendrickson and his wife Andrea have established the Drew & Andrea Hendrickson Scholarship Fund to support accounting students at UNCW and the University of North Alabama.
